New York Theatre Ballet’s “Once Upon a Ballet” series presents “The Firebird” a family-friendly version of “The Firebird” tells the story of the adventurous Prince Ivan and a magical bird. Choreographed by Richard Holden after Michel Fokine and set to the score by Igor Stravinsky, Firebird tells the story of the adventurous Prince Ivan and a magical bird. In the dark garden of the Immortal Kostchei, a tree glows, laden with golden fruit. The Firebird appears, attracted by the tree, and is pursued by Ivan Tsarevitch.
