The Zanesville Welfare Organization and Goodwill Industries, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) Not-For-Profit, Equal Opportunity and Accommodating Employer.We specialize in Job Training and Placement of individuals with barriers to employment, whether those barriers be physical, mental, social, or economical. Funding for our Job Placement and Training Programs are provided in a number of ways: 1. Retail: Goodwill Industries operates 12 Retail Training Sites in Southeastern Ohio and Northwestern West Virginia. Donated items such as clothing, household goods, furniture and appliances are resold to the general public at a discounted price. 2. Contracts: Many businesses have outsourced work to Goodwill Industries to help reduce internal labor costs. Groundskeeping, custodial, assembly, and repackaging are a few examples of contract work done by Goodwill Industries. 3. Recycling: As a member of the National Recycling Coalition, we strive to make use of ever item that passes through our hands. We work with several large and small businesses in our area as their Recycling Provider, picking up all recyclable items, baling them, and selling them to vendors.
